Old Timers  36  Medway Mariners II   5

Result of the first game of season Old Timers 36 runs Medway Mariners team 5 runs. Enjoyable game all worked hard Congratulations must go to Justin for scoring the first HOME RUN of 2007 season. Pitchers Steve Simmons and Paul Raybould did well between them. Few errors in the game but as expected as many of the players first time held a ball since last year.  Welcome to our latest recruit into the O.T.B.C. Michael Foley who had a good single hit. Next game at Medway Sunday May 20th. No game on Sunday 13th May. Jean

We managed to get a game on Sunday 3rd June at Tonbridge. Real last minute but I managed to get 10 men out there although it meant both John Thomas and Peter playing the full nine innings while poor Phil Laing was a full time coach even though he was not well. They all did their best however the win went to Tonbridge 26-14.

The friendly game I managed to arrange with Essex Arrows 2 was Old Timers 33 - Essex Arrows 14. The umpire was Phil Chesterton who is responsible for the 2 Essex Teams, and he did a very good job. There were some very good hits from Brian Currier, Billy Gibney, Paul Raybould, Justin Horsnell, Steve Simmons and singles from George, Andy Marchant and his son Billy.

We had our last game against the Brentwood Stags on Sunday at Enfield and we won. It was a very good game with some good hits and fielding. Please accept a big thank you from me to all players who came along and thank you to John Thomas and Peter for coaching and John Dornin for umpiring. It was very good finale to our season.
